A limit of 5 items can be placed on each card. Current items checked out can be returned in the book drop. Staff will not accept returns during curbside transitions.

All holds must be placed online through your library catalog account. To log into your account visit  http://search.illinoisheartland.org/ and use your barcode and 4 digit pin code to log in.

When picking up items, patrons will pull into a numbered parking spot, call (618) 993-5935 then press 2. You can then notify staff which spot you are in and your items will be delivered to your vehicle.

Please have your trunk or side door open in order for staff to execute a contactless pickup.

A few things to keep in mind at this time:

-You will be notified in your preferred manner which requests we were able to fill.

-The library will hold items for one week after the request is processed.

-No fines have accrued during the library’s closure.

-All outstanding library fees, over $1, accumulated prior to our closure must be paid in order to use curbside service. Fines must be paid in cash, with exact change. Your library account will indicate if fees are owed.

-We will not be accepting donations at this time.
